The Asgard

I don't know about everyone else, but the Asgard are absolutely my favorite good guys! Besides the fact that Thor is just a great little alien, all the Asgard are very friendly, smart and helpful.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious on the episode "Point of View" when O'Neill says "Love those guys!" when the Asgard come to the rescue of the alternate universe's Carter.

Anyone else just love those Asgard? emoticon

Re: The Asgard

Another great Asgard moment is from the Season 6 episode "Disclosure", which is one of my all-time favorites, despite the fact that SG-1 doesn't truly appear in the episode. General Hammond asks Thor to make an appearance at a meeting of world leaders with whom he has been forced to disclose the existence of the Stargate program. Senator Kinsey tries to get the Stargate program under NID management in order to appease the world leaders, who think that the program should not be under the US military. Thor makes an appearance to take on Kinsey, and successfully argues that the Stargate program is best left in the hands of "General Hammond and his team." At one comical moment, Kinsey addresses Thor, "With all due respect, Commander....", pointing his finger up. Thor stops him to point his finger up higher and say "Supreme Commander...".

A great episode, an another example of why the Asgard remain My Favorite Aliens! emoticon
